About the Trust

Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) is a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK. They provide a wide range of clinical services, specialist services (including cardiac, cancer, musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation) medical education, training, and research.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Monitor and update patient’s progress (tracking) on the cancer pathways database.

· Facilitate collection of the national cancer dataset (Cancer Waiting Times Dataset) by adding data to the database as requested

· Provide administrative support to the cancer pathways co-ordinator

· Add new patients to the Trust database EPR accurately and following the correct process

· Upload documents to the Trust database EPR accurately

· Request imaging and pathology from other Trusts to facilitate the patient pathway or MDT discussion and ensure these are available

· Answer email queries relating to patient pathways or MDT outcomes

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written

· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel

· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

· Previous admin experience

· Familiarity with NHS clinical and information processes and systems (Desirable)

· Experience of using EPR (Desirable)
