We are transforming and modernizing our workstation environments. This position will be responsible for maintaining both our business environment workstations as well as the “holy grail” - our Air Traffic Control (ATC) workstations. The successful candidate will also provide guidance, maintain, and support national strategic and lifecycle changes. We support virtual and physical workstations across the country enabling key services for our ATC Navigation and business users.

- Support and test new OS and Application configurations for the business or ATC users.
- Support new feature enhancements providing value to our user base.
- Bridge the gap with new and legacy technologies to provide a consistent and reliable environment for many different types of users.
- Provide guidance to the service desk and remote teams on new technology advancements and provide resolution support to escalations.
- Provide key inputs into strategies, technical direction, objectives, priorities, work plans, technical resolutions, and configuration documentation.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment supporting endpoint devices and Infrastructure Services.
- Experience updating and supporting Windows or Linux Operating systems.
- Experience with software installation as well as operating system deployments/upgrades.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting technical problems from the physical network level to the operating system on client workstations and servers.
- Experience with procedure creation, support tickets, and technical documentation.
- Graduated from a recognised university or community college with an acceptable specialisation in computer science of information systems, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of VMWare Horizon Virtual Desktop infrastructure.
- Practical knowledge of Operating Systems, Windows tools and technologies with a primary knowledge base using Microsoft Configuration Manager or Manage Engine.
- Practical knowledge of applications, packaging methods and technologies.
- Knowledge of software, hardware, and end user device configurations
- Ability to Identify, diagnose and resolve complex and varied problems.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with confidence in a clear, articulate, technical, and non-technical fashion.
- Ability to lead as an escalation point for first and second level technical support.
- Ability to breakdown large work items into logical phases in priority of importance.
