To provide extensive admin support within the Sefton Specialist Nursing Admin Team, supporting the Community Specialist Nurses based at Litherland Town Hall Health Centre.
The successful candidate must be proficient in IT packages and Microsoft Office. A knowledge of EMIS is desirable, although full training will be given. Have excellent communication skills both verbally and written and be able to communicate with patients, staff, and health care professionals at all levels both within the organisation and with external bodies.
We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic team player with good interpersonal skills and an excellent telephone manner who can work well under pressure, showing initiative, self-motivation, understand the importance of prioritising their own workload to meet deadline whilst maintaining a flexible and work independently and as part of busy team.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
The Community Specialist Nursing Team treat patients with complex health needs and long-term conditions. Also, patients who are elderly, vulnerable, and housebound. The Nurses also run community clinics across North and South Sefton.
You will provide comprehensive administrative support to our Community Heart Failure, Diabetes and Respiratory teams as well as providing support the Community Geriatrician. We also have a team of Health Care Assistants and Physiotherapists attached to the teams.
Use and maintain information systems with specific responsibility to ensure the quality of the data and information held.
Undertake general office duties including, answering telephone calls, transferring calls and message taking in a timely manner in line with local policies for non-clinical information only.

To provide extensive admin support to The Specialist Nursing Admin Hub (supporting the Community Specialist Nurses) based at Litherland Town Hall.
The role will include using EMIS to input referrals, book appointments, deal with workflow task, sending letters via EMIS outward bound document sharing.
Deal with enquires received via telephone and email.
Stock checking, ordering stationery and medical supplies/equipment.
Printing, photocopying, scanning.
