Job description
An Administrative Assistant is required to assist with the running and administration of the company's business. The position is based at the company's offices in Wolverhampton, working full-time (40 hours per week). The position will be reporting to the Directors of the company and to other members of staff as directed.
Duties (including but not limited to)
- Administering and progressing maintenance and extended warranty packages.
- Progressing customers offered quotations for new equipment.
- Progressing parts and materials outstanding to the business.
- Processing and filing paperwork, including quotations, invoices, service sheets etc.
- Answering and directing of telephone calls.
- Postal duties.
- Assisting with the preparation of Word and Excel documentation as required.
- General cover in the absence of other members of staff due to sickness/holidays, etc.
Requirements
- To have experience of working in a busy and sometimes demanding office environment.
- To have a polite and confident telephone manner, and to be comfortable with making frequent business telephone calls, and taking accurate and detailed messages.
- To be able to learn and understand the general principles of the company's products and the procedures used in the business.
- To be reliable and dependable.
- To have good literacy skills and good attention to detail.
- To be conversant with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- To be self-motivated with a positive work ethic and to be capable of working unsupervised.
Package
- Hours: 08:30 to 17:00 Monday-Friday with flexitime subject to approval by the Directors.
- Holidays: 25 days holiday (by agreement) plus statutory public holidays.
- Salary: In the region of £21,000 pa depending on experience and ability.
- A three-month probationary period will apply.
