Hope Meadows Equine Assisted Recovery CIC is looking for an administrative assistant to assist with the day to day running of the organisation.
Hope Meadows is an equine assisted therapy provider for adults, young people and children. We are driven by values of affordability and compassion, aiming to overcome the barriers to accessing mental health support wherever possible. We're looking for a driven individual who shares this ethos, and who can support the organisation as it continues to grow.
The administrative assistant will be joining a small, friendly team of the Founder/CEO, several practitioners, a support worker, an equine apprentice and two non-executive directors. The successful candidate will be expected to support the team with both clinical and equine admin, as well as monitoring tasks associated with our funded projects. In addition, the administrative assistant will be the first point of contact for clients, schools, and other professionals, so must embody compassion and professionalism in all interactions.
The role is part time at around 5 hours per week initially, however this will increase to an anticipated maximum of 10 hours per week as the organisation grows and the role becomes more time-consuming.
The role is predominantly home based, but attending meetings at the service in South Hykeham (Lincoln) will be required periodically.
No equine experience is required.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring of projects including populating spreadsheets and collating client feedback
- Basic bookkeeping using Quickbooks software and liaising with our accountants for payroll purposes (full training can be given)
- Managing enquiries through phone, email and social media
- Preparing and following up invoices
- Assisting the CEO to streamline existing processes
- Assisting the practitioners with clinical admin as required
Skills and Experience:
- Administrative experience (1 year minimum)
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Competent in using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to follow processes and policies
- Compassionate and reassuring manner
