Due to expansion, we now require the skills of a Data Administrator. Working three days a week in the Head Office, and working with the Purchasing, Operations departments, and to a lesser extent Marketing department, this is a brand new cross-functional role with the purpose of ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data within the company for colleague and customer satisfaction.
As this is a new role in the business, the successful candidate will need to have an appreciation that there is a need to be flexible and patient as the role and company processes evolve, they will be excited by the opportunity to own and shape the role themselves and have previous experience of working autonomously to plan their working days and workload to ensure the job gets done with exceptional organisational and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the Purchasing department, updating product descriptions and other associated information, and global, category, or individual trade and selling prices, and tracking margins on EPOS, highlighting any anomalies to Operations
- Full responsibility for CMS product content (although not text pages, blogs as that falls under Marketing), completing weekly price data downloads from EPOS and uploads to CMS to ensure data accuracy
- Assessing and implementing functional additions to EPOS and CMS
- Updating EPOS with promotion start and end dates and copying to CMS
- Any other tasks associated with data management and administration, including handling wastage/shrinkage data
- Project work relating to EPOS and till look and feel (eg new skins, design, and dev. of an HPS loyalty app to replace the stamp card)
- Instructing the Retail departments to do SEL updates and print offs
- Handling discounts according to BBE dates reports
- Directing stock takes alongside Logistics, updating stock data, and tracking and running stock valuations
- Shared light office duties such as filing, banking, etc
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Understanding the importance of accurate data
- Experience with CMS and/or EPOS software
- A strong focus on detail and accuracy
- The ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with colleagues
