Job description
We are looking for an experienced administrative assistant to join our thriving environmental management and contracting company. EcoVigour Ltd is based in South Wales, near Newport and we have been working in the construction sector for over 15 years. We are seeking an enthusiastic and cheerful person to join our small office team. The position is full-time with scope for the role to expand as the company continues to grow.
You will be the first point of contact in the office, by phone, post, greeting visitors to the office and receiving deliveries, and you will ensure that enquiries are dealt with promptly and directed to the right member of staff, so a friendly and positive attitude and good organisational and interpersonal skills are a must.
What you will be doing:
- You will contribute to the efficient administration of the company supporting our construction and ecology teams.
- Update work schedules, ensuring RAMS and vehicle and equipment checklists have been received and daily allocation sheets completed.
- Maintain repair logs.
- Data entry and filing associated with ongoing projects and accreditations.
- Creation of purchase orders as needed.
- Financial data entry including checking invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes and entering on our accounts package (Xero).
Requirements:
- Accurate data entry
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to work in a group and on their own
- Strong organisational skills
- We use WorkFlowMax to manage our projects and our accounting packing is Xero - experience with these would be useful, as would a working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Administrative experience (1 year minimum), preferably in the construction sector.
- GCSE Maths and English

About EcoVigour Ltd:
Our base is a rural office in Caerwent, Monmouthshire, close to the Severn Bridge. Our employees can sometimes work flexibly and from home, as projects require, or from our dog-friendly, rural office in South Wales, with glorious views across the Monmouthshire countryside. We have a small, close administrative team and promote a team ethos.
In addition to our Ecology and Environmental Management consultancy work, we also have a Contracting arm of the business, offering groundsworks, landscaping, arboricultural services and small civils. This allows us to offer our clients a turnkey solution for their projects.
We work for a diverse range of clients, in the fields of planning, construction, rail, highways, utilities, landscaping, land management and enhancement schemes.
