Job description
The job itself
On behalf of our children and my fellow colleagues here at Pocklington CE Infant School, I would like to begin by thanking you for taking the time to consider an application to get involved in the next chapter of our school’s story.
I am honoured to have been appointed Head Teacher in the summer of 2017 and since then we have been working together as a team to make some major improvements to the way our children learn the key skills they will need in life.
Changes to the way we work and teach our children take time and I am already starting to see the impacts of our initial efforts to introduce consistent learning approaches throughout the school.
I have the pleasure of leading a hardworking and skilled team, who are dedicated to providing the very best education in a warm, caring and stimulating environment.
You would be joining a happy and successful school. More information about our school vision is available on the school website. Please contact us to discuss the possibility of a visit as we’d love to show you around our fabulous school.
We are seeking an experienced Admin Assistant. Being able to maintain confidentiality is essential along with a sense of humour and willingness to help others. You will have experience of working in a busy office environment, preferably in the education sector. This post involves mostly Admin duties; but also entails meeting with and dealing with staff, pupils, parents/carers and visitors to the school. The need to have good IT knowledge is essential. Admin tasks such as keeping the school website up to date as well as various essential databases within school. Competency in software such as the Microsoft Office package and other IT related hardware is also desirable.
Full & part time applicants welcomed – Please state within your application the hours you would prefer.
The post holder will work within an established Admin team.
