Job description

I. General Statement of Duties:

  • Support to program director, ensuring all process deadlines, course scheduling and enrollment management needs are met.
  • Also responsible for data management to meet accreditation standards and program level goals.
  • Reports to: Director or chair or director of the unit

II. Distinguishing Features of Class: Under the direction of the Director or Chair this person:

  • Handles public inquiries regarding admissions to program
  • Assists the director or chair in outcomes assessment activity required for accreditation standards and completion of annual and other reports.
  • Monitors publications for consistency and prepares updates as needed
  • Assist director or chair in planning course scheduling
  • Assists the unit director or chair in processing students grades each semester
  • Handles special projects as designated by the unit director or chair
  • Monitor budgetary expenditures, prepare purchase orders, initiate check requests, and complete budget adjustments

III. Examples of Work (illustrative only):

  • Admissions/Enrollment Management: Assign new student applications for faculty review and act as conduit between program and Admissions
  • Under the direction of the unit director or chair, update faculty policy and/or student manuals annually or as needed.
  • In consultation with the unit director or chair drafts course schedules
  • Manages the schedule for shared lab spaces
  • Monitors grades and academic standing requirements related to student progress
  • Complete verification request forms for students or graduates
