ME is looking for a full time Administrative Assistant III to help support the administrative operation of the department under the supervision of the Department Manager.
- Providing reception services for Mechanical Engineering main office
- Creating, and implementing practices and procedures as needed, through coordination and cooperation with administrators, department head, faculty, students, and other staff
- Providing department head with supplemental details, ideas and solutions to help them administer program operations
- Prioritizing departmental workload, organizing and coordinating assigned office operations
- Processing requests and departmental documents, answering telephone; processing &filing of faculty, visiting scholars, staff and student paperwork related to travel, visiting scholars’ applications, reimbursement requests, course book orders, course evaluations, purchasing documents, accounting, maintaining mailing list databases, departmental website and student files
- Providing additional administrative support as requested
Prior relevant state experience in higher education administration working within an academic setting.

$23.27 - $27.92 Hourly
Mines takes into consideration a combination of candidate’s education, training and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required in the role, work location, and external market and internal value when determining a salary level for potential new employees.
