Salary Range: $21.31 - $26.51 Hourly
Greets the public and provides performance, seating and other cultural services information.
Sells and adjusts single, group, seasonal and series tickets in person, by phone, and by mail; completes cash, check and credit card transactions.
Verifies, enters and edits sales data and other information on computerized ticketing system.
Reconciles and balances end-of-shift cash out; prepares cash for deposits.
Communicates with promoters and performing arts organizations to provide sales numbers, process ticket requests, and provide other performance information.
Processes, sorts, distribute, and files ticket orders, reports, records and mail.
Operates office equipment including multi-line phone, computer, printer, and calculator.
Actively supports and respects diversity in the workplace.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Experience in ticketing or customer service which included direct public contact & effective communications, and computer skills.
- Experience in retail sales desirable.
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
MUST PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK
The ideal candidate will have the following Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- Ticket office practices and procedures, including computerized sales and record-keeping system.
- Typing by touch; 10 key helpful.
- Basic business math skills.
- Communicate effectively with the general public, other employees, promoters, and performing arts organizations using tact, courtesy, and good judgment to provide accurate information, sell tickets and solve ticketing problems.
- Work quickly and accurately with close attention to detail, especially with periodic large workloads.
- Effectively use computer keyboard for typing, 10-key calculations, and data entry with high level of accuracy. 'Touch' method required.
- Process cash and other monies accurately.
- Work independently and organize work with a minimum of supervision in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete records.
- Operate multi-line phone system using a clear, well-modulated voice and good diction.
- Work variable schedule including frequent evenings and weekends.

Representation
Employees in this classification are represented by American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), and their salaries may be subject to a monthly payroll deduction after 31 days of employment.
Salary and Benefits
The normal starting salary is the first step shown on the posting. Other placement in the salary range may be considered depending on qualifications and experience. Periodic advancement through the salary range is dependent upon merit. The City provides a full range of benefits, including holidays, vacation, sick leave, retirement benefit, and life insurance.
