Job description
We are currently looking to appoint an Admin Assistant to work at the Buxton Health Centre as part of the Child Health team within the Family Care Division.
The successful candidate must be customer focused, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Working flexibly between Monday - Wednesday.
Excellent organisational skills and an ability to work under pressure are essential requirements together with great attention to detail for ensuring data is recorded accurately onto the patient administration system.
To be successful in this role, you will possess GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths, experience of dealing with telephone enquiries and audio typing. You must have effective communication skills and be adaptable to meet the service needs.
Knowledge of medical terminology, customer care and previous NHS experience are also desirable.
The main duties of this role is to provide a comprehensive and courteous clerical service to Child Health team. For example, accurate and timely recording of appointment outcomes, distributing post and operating IT systems.
Duties will include taking messages accurately and promptly, audio typing, and filing reports and correspondence in patient notes.
