An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month secondment in the Clinical Governance & Quality Team . Under the supervision of the PA to the Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality the post holder will be responsible for supporting the provision of an efficient, confidential and comprehensive administrative/secretarial service to the:
Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality
Associate Director of Nursing & Quality
Chief AHP
Also the post holder will assist with the facilitation of the day to day operation of the Clinical Governance Department.

The post holder will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, must be flexible in approach, able to exercise initiative and demonstrate a consistently high standard of professionalism, being aware of the need for confidentiality and integrity. Fundamental to this post is the ability to multi-task and effectively manage own workload under the supervision of the PA to the Deputy Director of Nursing & Quality, to ensure the administrative needs of the Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality and Clinical Governance Department are met.
- Work as part of the Clinical Governance Department to assist with the various administrative tasks.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, managers and other staff in the team and with colleagues at all levels both within the Trust and in other external organisations.
- Assist the PA to the Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality to arrange meetings, training sessions etc. on behalf of the Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality and the Senior Team within the Clinical Governance Department, ensuring all necessary people are involved and informed and relevant papers/information are available.
- Assist in the management of the diary of the Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality.
- Manage the diaries of the Senior Team within the Clinical Governance Department.
- Provide confidential administration support to Senior Managers within the team.
- Minute meetings as directed for the Deputy Director of Nursing and Quality and the Clinical Governance Department. This will be taking the minutes at complex committee meetings to task and finish groups. The outcome will be to provide a comprehensive account of the meeting and on some occasions provide action logs.
- Use ‘Microsoft Office’ software, produce high quality accurate documents in the form of letters, reports, memos, spreadsheets, presentations, and other documents and ensure the effective electronic storage and retrieval of documents.
