About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a hybrid role to work with the External Affairs Unit which is one of the most dynamic environments in our creatively professional University. We are responsible for all the University's marketing, external communications, brand development, and much of the University's new business innovation. We currently offer the flexibility of working on site and at home, a good salary and generous annual leave.
The role will be line-managed by the Vice Chancellor's Executive Assistant and be supervised by the PVC External’s Personal Assistant and will work closely with EAU managers. The work is as varied as it is exciting. The key qualities we're looking for are enthusiasm, efficiency, excellent administrative and people skills and a solution-focused mindset.
This position would suit you if you are looking for a varied role that exposes you to a broad range of administrative activities and support.
This vacancy is a key role within the Chancelry Admin Team which is interesting, diverse and gives the opportunity of working with colleagues in a variety of departments and schools across the University as well as key external stakeholders.
About you (requirements)
You will be an experienced, flexible, accurate and efficient administrator with good verbal and written communication skills. You will be numerate and literate and able to move between different kinds of data with ease. You will be effective in managing multiple deadlines in parallel, be able to analyse problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
You will have previously worked in a commercially or otherwise sensitive data environment. You will be able to manage multiple work streams, sometimes under pressure, and be able to deal with unexpected changes quickly, tactfully and appropriately.
You will be somebody who pays close attention to detail, can maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, be self-motivated, possess enthusiasm and determination, be an effective team player and willing to support other colleagues.
You will have a positive, proactive attitude to work, good humour and demonstrate commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
