Applications are invited for this full-time post as an Academic Development Assistant within the Faculty Teaching and Learning Team.
The post will be located within the Academic Development office (formerly CARD). AD has a reputation for the delivery of high-quality programmes supporting the development of academic staff. Operating independently but as part of the Faculty Teaching and Learning team and reporting to the Academic Development Coordinator the role holder provides comprehensive and proactive support in the administrative of a range of development activities for academic staff within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health including the New Academics and Fellows Programme (NAP). The ability to offer a highly effective customer service and to communicate with a wide range of people across organisational boundaries is essential.
The role of the Academic Development Assistant is to provide efficient, effective, friendly and flexible administrative support - this will include (but will not be restricted to) keeping learning records up to date, supporting learners with bookings for courses, responding to learners queries about the programme(s) and maintaining accurate learning records.
The ideal candidate will be energetic, resourceful and proactive person to provide high quality administrative support across all programmes within AD’s portfolio and should have previous experience of providing administrative support within a busy team and/
or in a customer facing office environment.
You need to be able to work independently, have established organisational and time-management skills and be able to use your own initiative. Strong MS365 skills including Teams and Access databases would be desirable, plus excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, as well as a flexible approach to work.
