Administration Officer - Wakefield Council
- You will act as first point of contact for the team, dealing with incoming enquiries, correspondence compliments and complaints, using own initiative and with minimum support.
- You will contribute to a comprehensive administrative infrastructure for Liaison and Diversion meetings including room booking, distributing agenda, and attending and minuting meeting.
- You will ensure an effective reception and information service to the public, service users, Council staff and staff from other agencies in accordance with the Councils Customer Care policies and procedures.
- You will maintain accurate records of attendance at training courses and other learning and development events, ensuring that mandatory training is refreshed on a regular basis.
- You will undertake internal recording and inputting of data onto central MI systems.
- Recognised qualification in Maths and English, or ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and skills gained through relevant employment.
- Substantial experience in working with Microsoft Office software.
- Good knowledge of a range of administrative systems, processes, and procedures.
- Experience of working in a busy administrative environment and dealing with members of the public, including face to face, telephone and e mail enquiries.
- This is a Full-Time post of 37 hours per week, however we welcome applications from those who would like to work on a job share or part time basis.
- 28 days of Holidays plus 8 Bank Holidays.
