Admin Support Post - Band 3

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

Location: Brooklands Hospital (Brian Oliver Centre) Coleshill Road, Marston Green

We have a exciting opportunity to recruit a Band 3 Admin Support to work with the Male Forensic Team.

We are looking for a dynamic experienced individual with excellent communication, organisational and secretarial skills to support the administration functions within our Inpatient Service who are based at Brooklands Hospital. The successful candidate must be flexible and adaptable with the ability to prioritise tasks and work calmly under pressure, together with excellent customer service skills. Minute taking skills are essential for this role.

The post holder will play an important role within the wider Admin Team at Brooklands to provide efficient and comprehensive administration support to clinicians and managers. You will work within an integrated and skill mixed Admin Team across the building to support clinical service delivery. Band 3 Admin Support are vital members of the team providing for example secretarial support to clinicians and managers.

The post holder must demonstrate a caring, positive, compassionate and sensitive approach to their work in order to support patient care and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, the general public and representatives from other hospitals and organisations. We have a partial electronic patient record which is central to our work, so accurate record keeping is critical, and you must be able to concentrate in a busy working environment. The post holder must have a good standard of education English and Maths, essential qualifications RSA/OCR III Word Processing, NVQ 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent) and previous clerical and secretarial experience are essential for this position. Previous experience of working in the NHS and Learning Disabilities setting and knowledge of the Trust’s computer information systems would be desirable.
