Admin Assistant - Substations

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for you to provide administrative support to the Head of Substations for the central region and their team which comprises of 6 field based teams, Planning, Projects and Compliance & Safety teams. Effectively managing workloads and commitments within timescales, you’ll also have opportunities to implement improvements and administrative best practices.
Substation Admin Assistants play a crucial role proactively coordinating travel arrangements such as hotels and transport, managing databases and spreadsheets. This also includes providing support for meetings including minute taking as well as producing management reports, agenda’s and following up on any actions. The team cover an area from Staffordshire across to East Anglia and down to Tilbury in Essex, and there will be a requirement for you to attend sites across the region such as Berkswell in Warwickshire and Sundon in Bedfordshire.
What are the requirements?
We are looking for a strong administrator with an excellent eye for detail, who will be able to demonstrate working within a process driven environment and have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Who will also be highly organised, confident and professional with a flexible approach and proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. You should be able to prioritise your workload, but also you should you have the drive and determination to reach targets and deadlines. A full UK Driving licence is required.
Pay and benefits
- £30,378 to £33,952 pa + Benefits package + Training and Development
- 37 Hours per week Monday to Friday
- 26 days annual leave plus 8 statutory days.
