Administration Assistant – Starting 1st September 2023
32.5hrs a week permanent term time only.
8:30 am – 4:00 pm (Term-Time) 1 hour unpaid lunch
Scale 4. Spine Point 7-10 £20,649.65-£21,684.19 (Salary depending on experience)
Abbey Wood Nursery School is one of four Maintained Nursery Schools (MNS) in RBG and we are at the center of our community, able to keep the child’s early years at the heart of everything we do. We are one of the original open-air nursery schools and children free flow between the inside and outside areas, each seen as of equal value. We have a number of children who have special educational needs, many of whom are at the early stages of identification.
We have a child-centered approach to children’s learning whilst ensuring that we scaffold the learning with experiences and this allow us to have high expectations for the children in our school. We work closely with our parents at all stages of their child’s education (some of our parents attended the school themselves). We take children from the age of two until they move to reception class. The size of the school grows during the
year and in the summer term, we can have up to 150 children on roll.
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic new member of staff to join our school in September 2023. Working in the office means that you are the first contact for parents and visitors to the nursery, you will need to be welcoming and have excellent people skills, and good literacy and numeracy skills.
The successful candidate will -
Need excellent skills in Microsoft Office.
Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
Be an excellent communicator who is able to relate well to both children and adults alike
Be efficient, well organised, able to prioritise and use initiative.
Be an approachable team player.
Be flexible and responsive to the changing needs of our school.
Be keen to make a difference to our children and school community.
We welcome visits, as we love to show off our school and our community.
