An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our Care Team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a lounge of residents. It is important to understand the individual interests of our residents and deliver a variety of activities.
It is essential to have a desire to work with the elderly and be comfortable working with residents with dementia.. A passion for creativity will really benefit this role as the Activity Programme is up to you to create!
Previous experience within a similar role will be a distinct advantage, however this is not essential.
Our Activities Coordinator plays an important role within our Care Team, helping to provide a varied Activity Programme which benefits the Physical, Mental and Social Well-being of all our Residents. - Encourage residents to join in with a range of activities.
- Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities such as arts and crafts, exercise classes, music therapy, sports, flower arranging, games, quizzes and much more.
- Spend time with each resident individually to get to know them and understand their individual needs. This includes communicating with their relatives.
- Manage a monthly budget for materials and resources.
- Create and maintain a display board including photography and the resident's creative work.
- Document daily the resident's participation in activities.
- Organise external entertainment such as singers.
- Plan day trips and fund-raising events for the residents.

Salary: £12.00-£12.15 per hour
