Los Gatos, California based Real Estate Developer searching for a full-time qualified Acquisition Associate/Manager to identify and source new land acquisition opportunities for the development of multifamily rental apartments and for-sale housing communities throughout the Bay Area.
Job Description:
Acquisition Associates/Managers are critically important to the entire development process. As an Acquisition Associate/Manager, you will begin working under the direction of the Vice President of Acquisitions and in collaboration with many other development team players. Your main objectives in your position will be to locate, review, qualify and secure land acquisition opportunities for the development of multifamily rental apartment and for sale housing communities throughout the Bay Area. To complete this objective, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: locating, studying and securing sites suitable for development, the negotiation of terms and specific language in purchase and sale agreements, basic preparation of proforma financial analysis for development opportunities, review and prepare market analysis reports of local and regional demographics in target markets and/or proximity to development opportunities, preparation of all due diligence on properties including title review, entitlement review, environmental review, market and demographic studies. You will also participate in architectural feasibility studies to determine best possible use for specific sites, participate in the entitlement process by working with municipalities, consultants, and architects, and represent the company in community, board, city council and other types of public meetings and settings.
You will be expected to stay motivated, work diligently, meet deadlines and add value to the development team as well as represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
Required Qualifications:
- 4 year college degree minimum; preferably in business, real estate, urban planning, or construction management;
- A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in real estate development or brokerage with verifiable references;
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Google Earth;
- Ability to perform financial modeling and perform sensitivity analysis;
- California Real Estate Salesperson or Brokers License a plus;
- Experience with affordable housing acquisitions and financing a plus;
- Positive attitude, professional workmanship and appearance, detail orientated, energetic and results driven;
Salary:
Base salary DOE, plus incentive bonus plan.
