Job description
Job purpose:
Working within the Finance Team, to efficiently manage the purchase ledger accounts under the supervision of the Finance Manager, liaising with suppliers and colleagues to resolve queries. You will be committed to the My Space values and our drive to provide value for money.
Essential functions:
Processing high volumes of intricate invoices through Zahara/Sage 50
Checking invoices and querying where necessary and following up for missing information by phone and email
Liaising with colleagues in obtaining authorisation of invoices
Reconciling supplier accounts
Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details within the purchase ledger
Filing invoices and statements
Ensure mailboxes are reviewed daily with e-mails being dealt with promptly
Efficiently resolving supplier queries
General duties:
Assist in any other areas within the Finance Department as and when required
Understand and uphold the standards outlined in My Space Health and Safety Policy

Skills and knowledge:
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
A confident approach with good verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills
Highly accurate with a good attention to detail – able to manage queries and identify errors
Numerate, systematic and logical thinker
Person specification:
Experience of working in a fast paced and pressured environment
Experience of prioritising work to meet tight deadlines
Managing large volume of emails
Working as part of a team, develop and maintain working relationships with colleagues across the organisation for the benefit of the role
Proactive and self starting
Reliable and honest
Be able to work flexibly in meeting the needs and demands of the organisation
