Accounts Payable Clerk - CTS
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Management Accountant CTS, the Senior Accounts Payable Clerk’s role may include the following activities:
- Taking a proactive role in managing the payment of supplier invoices, for sites across the UK
- Proactive verbal communication with suppliers and colleagues to ensure outstanding invoices are understood
- Ensuring that payments processed are compliant with UK VAT requirements
- Ensuring that supplier payments and bank transactions are accurately recorded in the financial reporting systems
- Maintaining documentation related to direct debits
- Checking and posting of bank payments to accounting systems
- Timely and regular reconciliation of supplier statements
- Support and analysis to enable accurate monthly financial reporting
- Providing administrative support to the team
- Interrogation of purchase order processing module to ensure deliveries against orders placed are promptly receipted
- Working with SAGE 200 (or similar accounting package).
- Deputise for the senior accounts payable clerk as required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Outstanding attention to detail with an ability to reconcile complex accounts and identify errors
- Accurate, efficient and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and Sage 200
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with external customers and internal colleagues
- Assertive, professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising with both colleagues and suppliers
- Good communication skills – liaising with operational managers to ensure that the purchase order process is followed
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate information on time
- Personally resilient, able to cope with pressures inherent in the role from time to time
Note:- This role is office based in Leicester, UK. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK
Salary: £26 - 30k dependent on experience
