THE POSITION
Reporting to the Controller, this position assists the in managing the accounting and finance aspects of the organization.
Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee AP/AR functions
- Managing accounts payable using Netsuite
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Process 3-way P.O. matching invoices verifying up to 20 plus line items to ensure supplier invoice is valid
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Processing due invoices for payments
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Prioritize invoices according to payment terms
- Reconcile vendor statements to correct discrepancies
- Review all invoices for official documentation and approval prior to payment
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Importing/ Exporting csv files and invoice documents into accounting platforms
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in the nonprofit sector a plus. Must have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as an acute ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. High level of experience with Word and Excel required. Ability to work well with others in a team environment and collaborate with program staff and others across the organization required. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality required.
COMPENSATION
Hourly $24.00 to 27.00 D.O.E
Benefits include 15 paid holidays and 10 vacation days per year during first two years of employment and increases based on years of service thereafter, a 403(b) plan with employer match, medical, dental, vision, flex spending, and a range of professional development opportunities. Community Partners has a 9/80 work week option under which employees may elect to work 80 hours in 9 days and take every other Friday off (after completion of introductory period).
EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Three years of Accounts Payable or similar experience preferred
- NetSuite experience preferred
- Excellent communication, administrative, and time management skills with the ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Attention to detail with analyzing information
