Accounts Payable Manager | Derbyshire | up to £42k | Permanent

Our well-established client in Derbyshire is seeking a highly motivated and detail- oriented Accounts Payable Manager to their finance team. As an Accounts Payable Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient management of the company’s financial obligations. Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other departments, such as Purchasing and Finance, to ensure seamless coordination of payment processes.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, handle inquiries, and resolve discrepancies in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Supervise and lead the accounts payable team, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expenses.
  • Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Review and verify invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and proper coding before processing for payment.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage payment schedules to optimize working capital while meeting payment deadlines.
  • Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports, including aging reports, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Continuously identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity within the accounts payable department.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements:

  • 2 years’ experience working in an Accounts Payable Supervisor/ Manager role
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Experience managing a team
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Good time keeping skills
  • Stand Alone
  • Able to work in a team
