Belfast Finance
The Belfast Finance department provides services to the A&O network of offices covering management and financial accounting & reporting, revenue control (includes eBilling), credit control, accounts payable and tax. Offices currently served are London, Belfast, US, South Africa, Dubai, Israel, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. There is a strong client service ethic and we work to Service Level Agreements, targets and deadlines to deliver in line with client expectations.
This Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for 3 direct reports leading a collective team of approx. 20 people delivering an accounts payable and expense service to London, Belfast, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, USA, and South Africa. Service coverage may vary from time to time as additional A&O organisations are migrated into the function.
What you will do
Own, manage, and standardise all Accounts Payable processes for the Belfast managed offices
Embed & manage a strong Internal Control Framework
Ensure compliance with SAR and taxation requirements of the jurisdictions serviced
Build strong relationships with, and becoming a trusted advisor to stakeholders
Oversee the timely & accurate processing of all invoices & expenses
Manage all payment runs along with the timely resolution of all queries
Manage a large team, made up of both Team Leads and AP assistants
Set & monitor challenging goals, hold regular 1-2-1s and team meetings, and promote a collaborative environment
Manage change in a fast paced, transactional environment
Manage difficult conversations, both within the team and with customers.
What you will have
Experience of managing a large AP/Expenses function
Experience of managing KPIs, SLAs and other performance metrics
The ability to advocate for change and effectively deliver change to different stakeholder groups
Experience of analysing problems and proposing solutions
The ability to resolve conflict efficiently without damaging relationships
Experience in strategic management
