Accounts Payable Assistant (FinOps)

Description This role will work within our FinOps team and collaborate closely with the finance team and wider business. The role itself will encompass a wide range of Accounts Payable tasks as well as more specific industry related tasks. We are looking for someone who is a recent graduate with the hunger and determination to learn or someone who has experience within Accounts Payable, to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment and enjoys working within a constantly evolving environment. Meanwhile, it’s fun and fast moving with a supportive team and management. Reporting into the FinOps Manager, you will work within a team of 4 FinOps. Your responsibilities will mainly include: Managing the mailbox, various slack channels and any queries within SLA Responsible for the set up and maintenance of supplier accounts Managing the processing of invoices and Paycargo Ownership of managing selected Freight supplier accounts Assisting stakeholders (internal and external) to manage invoice disputes and queries Assist the team to reconcile supplier statements Assist FinOps Manager with any project work Provide cover for team when needed Any other adhoc tasks that may come up Your role won’t necessarily be limited to this - we’re fast growing and everyone's day to day changes as the business grows. There is plenty of opportunity to progress and learn new things. Skills Knowledge and Expertise Previous AP experience or willingness to learn (training provided) Good knowledge of AP procedures, controls, double entry and audit requirements A forward thinker who embraces change Strong attention to detail Can do attitude Ability to prioritise, time manage and meet SLA’s set Ability to communicate with the team and keep everyone updated Work on own initiative and with the team Comfortable with having face to face meeting and picking up the phone as opposed to always emailing Proactive, can do attitude and able to deep dive to root cause analysis Ability to work closely with our third party partner based in india Strong written and verbal communication skills; friendly manner on the phone and email Holds themselves accountable We work on google suite and not microsoft so must be comfortable to work in this environment Comfortable with Pivots and Vlookups About Zencargo Zencargo is a digital-first freight forwarder & logistics provider.
