Job description
We are seeking a full time Accounts Payable Assistant to join the Finance Team at the Department of Engineering Science based in central Oxford.
You will be responsible for processes and queries relating to Purchase Orders and Accounts Payable. You will also administer the departmental credit cards and be responsible for a small amount of Accounts Receivable. Working with the Procurement Officer, the role supports the department by maintaining the smooth operation of the Purchase to Pay system, ensuring orders are processed appropriately, suppliers are paid on time, and risk is managed effectively.
You should have experience of financial administration, ideally in a finance office or finance environment. You should have a high level of numeracy and attention to detail and the ability to understand financial concepts and regulations including VAT.
