What you’ll be doing
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to support the Accounts Payable Manager and the rest of the team in delivering a robust Accounts Payable service for our UK business.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Working with the AP Manager, to ensure all invoice processing is completed on time and accurately
- Assisting in entering appropriate nominal ledger codes on invoices on receipt.
- Registering all invoices on receipt to ensure the appropriate period is charged with the relevant expense
- Gaining appropriate authorisation in line with the amount and type of expense, for arranging payment of each invoice
- Assisting in the reconciliation of supplier statements and accurately making payment to suppliers of goods and services, in line with the agreed terms
- Ensuring that new and authorised supplier accounts are opened within the accounts payable ledger and that credit & payment terms listed reflect those agreed with the supplier
- Archiving records in accordance with legislation
- Preparation of accounts payable metrics to assist the Accounts Payable Manager in monitoring performance
- This position has direct accountability for ensuring that authorised expenditure is processed and paid in accordance with agreements and/or Company policy

The salary for this role is dependent on experience.
