Role: Accounts Payable Assistant Location: Central Team, County Hall
Reporting to: Transactional Manager
Overview
Administrative support and maintenance of the purchase ledger. Dealing with supplier payments, queries, and statements.
Key responsibilities
· Ensuring swift transit of supplier invoices onto the purchase ledger, importing, matching to PO’s, obtaining appropriate authorisation, and posting to the purchase ledger.
· Ensuring purchase orders are raised and processed correctly by the various business partners.
· Reviewing Commission invoices, obtain POs and be a point of contact for Agents
· Assisting Transactional Manager with administrative management of the purchaser portal.
· Processing BACS payments and distribution of remittances.
· Supplier statements reconciliation.
· Developing/maintaining supplier relationships.
· Resolving supplier queries and liaising with internal business units.
· Creating and updating new suppliers accounts on the finance system.
Other responsibilities
· Develop and maintain good relationships with members of the venues and central teams
· Assist with the implementation and the data migration of the new ledger system
· Undertake requests for adhoc duties as required.
The successful candidate would ideally have:
· Relevant experience working in a similar Accounts Payable role
· System savvy and interested in new technical solutions
· Excellent attention to detail
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and appropriate telephone manner
· Able to work to tight deadlines, organised with ability to multi-task
· Desire to develop and work as part of a team
· Computer literacy, including confidence using Microsoft Package especially Excel, accounts and purchasing software
· Flexible, can-do attitude and ability to work simultaneously across different systems
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
