THE ROLE
We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic accounts payable assistant to join our finance team. As part of this role you will be responsible for the processing of invoices within agreed timeframes onto the finance system.
Strong attention to detail is essential along with the proven ability to work well on your own as well as in a team. The ability to thrive in a fast paced environment is also important.
ABOUT THE TEAM
You will be part of a team of six within the accounts payable department reporting to the accounts payable manager.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Gaining approval of invoices/purchase orders from correct departments
- Direct entering and coding of non PO invoices
- Investigating and managing any invoice discrepancies through to resolution
- Raising weekly and ad-hoc supplier payments in GBP/USD/EUR and other foreign currencies
- Managing assigned accounts and clearing down aged items
- Allocation and posting of all payments
- Dealing with queries from external and internal clients
- Month end analysis of supplier accounts
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Managing the relationship with key suppliers and UK/European/US key stakeholders
- Support with AP archiving and audit requests
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?
- Proven experience within an accounts payable department
- Experience with working to tight budgets and deadlines and managing company expectations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
- A keen, flexible and proactive attitude
- Intermediate level excel user
- A meticulous eye for detail
- A team player who works collaboratively with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- An innate desire to achieve the best possible results for the brand.
- A professional manner and diplomacy
- A positive lead-by-example approach to the wider AP team
ABOUT THE LOCATION
Based in our East London Studios in vibrant Shoreditch with perks and benefits offered from local businesses including discounts on food, shopping and health & beauty. Studio Location. Approximately a 10 minute walk from Liverpool Street Station and a 5 minute walk from Shoreditch High Street.
