About the role
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team in London on a permanent basis. We are currently working 100% remotely and expect that this role will continue to be a majority remote role in the future. We truly believe in working accordingly to outcomes and giving our team the trust and autonomy to complete their work from where they feel most productive and able to balance life.
We are a small, collaborative and results driven team and you will play a key role in supporting our busy Finance function by acting as a first point of contact for our internal and external stakeholders. You will have a proven record working in accounts payable and are able to juggle multiple tasks easily by having excellent communication and organisation skills.
Reporting to the Finance Director your responsibilities will include:
- Full management of the purchase ledger; processing multi-currency invoices across various entities, including adjusting for deferred costs where relevant
- Facilitating payment of invoices due by analysing supplier invoices and due dates
- Monitoring the accounts’ team mailbox
- Generating financial statements and reports detailing accounts payable status
- Providing to Management Accountant regular month-end accruals
- Monitoring cash balances and bank reconciliations
- Working with the wider team to improve Accounts Payable processes
- Assisting in ad hoc projects as required
Skills and qualifications:
- Strong accounts payable experience in tech startup, creative or media role
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks with effective prioritisation
- Excellent attention to detail
- Tenacious and resilient approach
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Able to work autonomously
- Experience with MS Dynamics preferable
- Experience with AI / Invoice reader applications preferable
- Deadline orientated
