We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our busy BMW dealership in Leith. Over the years we’ve taken on and developed many of our Trainee Accounts Assistants and helped turn them into Accountants and Financial Controllers… can you be the next? The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, be a fantastic team player, and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a busy accounts department.

• Daily Cash banking
• Processing supplier invoices
• Reconcile supplier statements
• Prepare and process bank payments as required
• Daily allocation of bank payments received/made
• Reconcile bank transactions daily highlighting any issues to management
• Petty cash reconciliation
• On a weekly basis review sales ledger using aged debt analysis spreadsheet to identify aged debt. Escalate any payment issues to department manager and FC
• Monthly stock check and other month end reconciliations
• Ensure support given to other colleagues and department managers to ensure records are maintained accurately and promptly

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise a busy workload
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly
• Work as a team player and confidently on your own
