About the role
As Accounts Assistant for Natural HR, your role will be to support the Management Accountant with day-to-day finance activities and play a key role in the production of the monthly management accounts. This will include ensuring day-to-day transactions are recorded correctly in the accounts system, bank reconciliations, dealing with general enquiries and undertaking credit control.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Management Accountant with the production of the Monthly Management Accounts and KPI pack production, including commentary and analysing key variances.
- Overseeing, updating and maintaining the billing system to facilitate invoice, credit note and cash transactions.Acting as credit controller, to facilitate prompt payment from customers.
- Owning the daily bank reconciliation on the accounts system and updating of cash flow model.
- Updating accounts system on both sales and purchase ledger through importing of transactions.
- Providing customers with any required accounts documentation.
- Maintaining the purchase invoice portal and collection of invoices, making supplier queries where appropriate.
- Assisting with updating and maintain the company CRM where appropriate.
- Overseeing the creation and collection of customer direct debits.
- Overseeing day-to-day accounts queries and emails.
- Other ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the business.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in a relevant Accounts Assistant type role.
- Excellent attention to detail, prioritises work effectively taking into account the needs of the business.
- Naturally customer focused.
- Strong analytical skills, good with numbers and data.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Strong work ethic, real team player.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
