Job description
We are currently recruiting for a part time Accounts Assistant for a Chartered Surveying and Property Management Firm in Brighton and Hove. This role is designed to provide additional support for the current Accounts team within the expanding Property Management Department. The role is office based (Portslade) for 2.5 days a week – working days/hours to be discussed at interview stage.
The role includes but is not limited to:
- Collating all supplier invoices for posting to the accounts software
- Ensuring the invoices are allocated correctly
- Upload csv files to the accounts software for bulk invoice posting
- Liaising with suppliers and other staff members to deal with queries
- Adding new suppliers to the database
- Producing the list of supplier payments for approval on a fortnightly basis
- Assist with other ad-hoc duties within the accounts team to include issuing of service charge demands, banking, chasing of arrears
- Answering incoming telephone calls
The role is initially primarily on the purchase ledger side but will include additional responsibilities in other areas as the business expands.
Skills, Experience, Knowledge
- Good communication skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Ability to work within a team
- A good eye for detail, accuracy and highly organised
On the job training will be provided but previous experience of working in accounts would be beneficial
Understanding of the property sector useful but not essential
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week
Salary: £11.00 per hour
