Job description
Simpson Oils Ltd. is an established fuel products supplier to domestic, commercial, agricultural and maritime customers in the North of Scotland working from our depots in Wick, Scrabster and Invergordon.
A post has arisen for an ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT to join our team in our Wick office. We would consider full time, part time or job share for this position.
Duties will include
- Dealing with customers in person, answering phone and emails.
- Handling invoices, payments and banking: BACS, cash, cheques and card.
- Responsible for setting up and collection of customers direct debit payments.
- Preparing and sending statements and invoices to customers.
- Monitoring customer accounts.
- Inputting daily data, checking stock
- Periodic reconciliations and accounting duties
We expect you to have:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Precision and punctuality when dealing with data and money
- Problem solver – proactive in identifying issues within area of responsibility
- Previous experience in accounting, customer service and office administration
Initial training and continuous support in using specific programmes and software will be on offer to help the right person get up to speed on unfamiliar systems.

Salary: £7.98-£14.37 per hour
