About the role
This role is focused on supporting the business in identifying and implementing new efficiencies and cost savings. This may involve reviewing existing processes and systems to identify areas for improvement, or developing and implementing new procedures or technologies that can help to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities
- To resolve a wide range of queries ensuring that the information provided is accurate and current, dealing with any problems as they arise.
- Receive and evaluate the Utility bills.
- Collate & submit monthly meter readings to various gas, water and electricity
- providers.
- Investigate unusual consumption or unexpected rate changes.
- To liaise with energy providers to ensure that invoices for outstanding amounts, on properties owned by SBHA, are investigated to determine liability and to resolve any outstanding issues.
- To check invoices, entering data against the correct codes and apportioning charges appropriately.
- Liaising with lettings team to determine works to be recharged to third party Agencies and Commercial units.
- Record and reconcile incoming transactions received from third party Agencies and commercial units. Weekly and Monthly reporting of cash received.
- Light credit control. Resolve outstanding payments disputes and sending collection statements.
- Assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies in financial accounts
- Become knowledgeable using Proactis to be able to advise or train other members of staff with raising POs, receipting invoices and general Proactis admin.

About you
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of organising and delivering a range of administrative support services, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to provide reliable and accurate work.
You should have a good understanding of systems and software and be able to review systems and processes to identify new ways of working. You will work collaboratively with other team members, building effective relationships across the organisation. Experience in negotiation, problem-solving and complaints resolution is also required.
