This role is critical to supporting our Finance Manager in their daily tasks, keeping the business running smoothly and ensuring that our suppliers are paid in an efficient and timely manner. This person will be required to maintain all purchase ledger invoices to a high standard in line with monthly/annual commitments. They will have experience of working within high-volume, customer focused business and must be able to work well within a team and with their own initiative. Ideally this candidate will have previous experience working with a cloud-based finance program, ensuring confidentiality and cyber security.
Accounts Assistant Key tasks:
● Adding supplier invoices on to Xero/internal purchasing (PO) system, ensuring that checks and approvals had been obtained prior to posting.
● Generating payment list and remittances to send to the company director ready for payment run.
● Reconcile monthly/weekly statements from suppliers. Highlight and raise any queries with the correct department within the business.
● Where there is a query, proactively contacting the supplier and liaising with the relevant internal department to resolve it.
● Generating, reporting and filing of all credit card transactions, ensuring receipts/invoices are obtained for all transactions, and are posted and coded correctly.
● Cover the Financial Manager when necessary.
In addition this person would be taking on some general responsibilities within the business to alleviate pressure from the founders and lead the maintenance of both of our beautiful PINCH workplaces. This person would take pride in our spaces, understanding that the atmosphere of the studio and shop are crucial to the culture of the company.
