Summary of role:

To prepare school fee bills termly, process payments and direct debits, debt collection under the direction of the Accounts Manager.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The main duties of the Accounts Assistant include maintaining parent/pupil accounts, producing termly fee invoices, processing direct debits, parent debt collection, assisting with accounts department requirements, where necessary. The Accounts Assistant will work as part of the finance team. The role of an Accounts Assistant is to provide a professional and efficient service to the finance function, monitoring how much is owed at all times and providing accurate financial information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

· Ensuring the Parent and Pupil accounts are kept up to date

· Collecting all billing information from teachers and bursary staff

· Ensuring all termly fee invoices are produced in a timely manner

· Processing Direct Debits termly and updating parent accounts

· Recording and monitoring daily bank transactions, liaising with School bank when necessary

· Dealing with day to day queries

· Assisting with month end procedures for 3 schools

· Filing and recording information correctly

· Data entry

· Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries from parents with regards to school bill/payments

· Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary

· To work as part of a team and complete ad-hoc accounting duties within the office, when required

· Communicating with parents/staff members

Salary: £24,900.00-£28,750.00 per year

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
