Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Reporting to: Office Manager
Contracted hours: 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm)
Contract type: Permanent
Main Responsibilities
To work as part of a busy Wholesale accounts team
Core Duties
- Setting up Customer Accounts – including completing Due Diligence checks.
- Processing Customer Sales Orders.
- Telesales support including answering the telephone, order capture and transfer of On-Line orders to the Order Capture system & cover for other staff as required.
- Deal with customer account queries and customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Sales Ledger duties, including but not limited to posting and allocation of invoices, credits, journals, cash, cheques, cancelled receipts and associated reconciliations
- Credit control
- Creation, maintaining and processing Direct Debits, including returns, via online Banking including all BACS Payments Services requirements
- To answer incoming calls promptly and to maintain office security at all times
- Bank reconciliations
- Raise miscellaneous payments when required
- Purchase Ledger queries and invoice matching
- Control Account reconciliations
- To assist with any other administrative duties of the general sales office as required
- Any other duties relevant and related to the post
Essential Criteria
- 6 GCSE’s including English and Maths
- Good level of computer skills
