Jackson Hogg are delighted to be partnering with a business based in Byker on the appointment of an Accounts Assistant.
This role is open to candidates with 2+ years Accounts Assistant experience, that are keen to progress into an Assistant Accountant.
The role will be responsible for all accounts payable tasks: processing all invoices incoming from suppliers, matching to POs and handling queries, bank reconciliations across platforms, drafting weekly payment runs in multiple currencies, forecasting monthly currency requirements, handling day to day accounts mailbox queries, verifying new supplier account details and setting up proforma payments. Some of these tasks are partly covered by the assistant accountant currently, and moving them to a new role will enable the assistant accountant to focus on delivering month end reporting.
The role will also cover accounts receivable tasks: drafting invoices, setting up new product codes, chasing up aged debtors and providing monthly updates to the FC to support Board Pack commentary.
Monthly balance sheet recs for bank, debtors control account, sundry debtors and creditors control account together with supporting commentary as applicable.

Salary: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
