SUMMARY
- We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Finance Professional to join our team. This is a newly created role where you will work closely with the Accounts Payable Assistant to complete month-end tasks in line with an agreed timetable. This is an exciting time for us as a business and there is lots of potential to grow with us. Some experience would be helpful but we would also welcome applications from looking for their first role out of college/A levels (training will be given)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Weekly bank reconciliation; identifying any issues early and resolving
- Daily invoice processing, coding and allocating invoices for approval
- Weekly payment runs and supplier statement reconciliations
- Monitoring the accounts team inbox responding to queries from suppliers and the wider team
- Reviewing and approving credit card expenses and expense claims
- Posting monthly credit card expenditure to the P&L
- Completing credit application forms
- Open the post on a weekly basis actioning and distributing as necessary
- Granting access to our invoice processing software to new team members
- Responsibility for petty cash expense claims
- Assist where necessary with credit checks on new retail customers and managing credit limits
- Assist where necessary with reconciling merchant accounts to match batch payments with individual customer deposits
- Draw down weekly on paypal and if necessary Amazon
- Weekly update to actualise cashflow
- Cancelling credit cards and removing access to leavers
- Supporting the team with the audit
- Support the rest of the finance team with ad hoc balance sheet reconciliations
- Contribute/assist in championing the need for continual improvement, seeking to develop processes and efficiencies
- Any other ad hoc duties as required by the business
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Efficiency of bank account reconciliations and month end close
- Ensure our suppliers are paid on time and kept up to date of any delays
- Development of accountancy knowledge base

- You’ll have excellent organisation skills, acute attention to detail and an ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
- You’ll be calm under pressure and have a fun sense of humour
- You’ll have exceptional written and verbal communications skills
- You’ll take a proactive approach to your work and be an excellent problem solver
- 1-2 years experience in a similar accountancy role is desirable but not essential, we would consider someone looking for their first role out of college/A levels (training will be given)
- An ability to understand the technicalities of the Gozney range, from both a product and culinary perspective

- You must live in Bournemouth area (our office is currently in Christchurch and moving to Bournemouth in Nov 23)
