Job description
An Accounts Assistant, who will be responsible for monitoring the day to day accounts activities across the organisation, is needed for the Finance Department in the Head Office in Coventry. Related working experience in bookkeeping and accounting is required. Training will be provided as part of the induction to familiarise you with relevant systems and certain business models.
Role description:
- Enter invoices and receipts
- Reconcile monthly bank transactions
- Raise sales invoices and credit control
- Send out intercompany recharges across the group
- Reconcile sales and accrued income at month ends
- File VAT returns
- Enter prepayments and accruals
- Reconcile balance sheet at month and quarter ends
- Assist in year-end accounts
- Assist in payroll preparation
- Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts and reports
- Assist in Budget, forecast preparation
- Help explore innovative solutions to improve the Finance department, reviewing policies, procedures, and the whole Finance system
- Liaison with different departments across the organisation
- Any Ad hoc tasks within the Business
In order to be considered you will need:
- Minimum one-year experience required
- Excellent mathematical skills and advanced MS Excel skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, an extra language will be a bonus such as Mandarin
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero
- Attention to detail and accuracy

Salary: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
