Broad Street Real Estate are on the lookout for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team!
Broad Street is a leading European real estate property developer in the Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) and Build-To-Rent (BTR) sectors.
With roots back to 2006, the management team has amassed a wealth of experience delivering over 30 properties with over 7,000 beds, across 7 countries with a combined GDV in excess of £0.5bn. The future pipeline of new developments is anticipated to deliver a further 6,000 beds over the next 5 years.

Future developments are planned to create even higher levels of specification, innovation and service to deliver high return to investors whilst creating satisfied residential communities.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Liaise with property teams to ensure customers (students) invoices and deposits are reconciled weekly.
- Full reconciliation of student accounts monthly identifying outstanding debts or inconsistency for management accountant.
- Raise any credit notes following review/approval from the Management Accountant.
- Communicate with our site teams to answer any queries that arise.
- Manage end to end purchase ledger process.
- Coding and matching purchase invoices on to Sage X3
- Purchase ledger reconciliation monthly, flagging any supplier queries to the property teams and making sure they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Weekly/Monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monthly Credit Card Reconciliation.
- Analysis on Rent and Deposits paid by tenants at each of the sites.
- Various other ad hoc tasks as required by any senior members of the finance department.
Requirements
- Previous experience of working in an accounts department or someone who is currently studying towards an accounting qualification.
- Taking full ownership of the task given.
- Experience with Excel and experience of using Sage X3 (preferred).
- Attention to detail and taking pride in doing the work.
- Willingness to learn and adopt in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with communicating with external stakeholders.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm
