Job description
We are a looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our lovely accounts team based in Harpenden. Reporting to the Finance and Operations Manager, the Accounts Assistant will work closely with the Finance, Admin and Sales departments to ensure all accounts are managed in accordance with the appropriate timescales and within relevant payment terms.
Key Accountabilities
· Purchase invoice processing
· Supplier statement reconciliation
· Processing purchase ledger payments on a timely basis (Multi currency)
· Ensuring all payment terms are recorded
· Checking and authorising sales quotations
· Price list preparation – internal and customer versions
· Dealing with the daily banking reconciliation
· Ensuring all expenses are audited and authorised
· Maintaining spreadsheets
· Commission calculations
· Cost of Sales analysis
· Credit card statement reconciliation and posting
· Assistance with ISO
· Energy Account tariff renewals
· General accounts filing
· Verifying calculations working with the accounts system
· Dealing with telephone and email enquiries
· Assisting the Finance Department with any ad-hoc duties.

This is a full time position, based from our HQ in Harpenden.
Working hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch to be taken at such a time as the Company may stipulate. For the purposes of Statutory Sick Pay these are your qualifying days.
The initial holiday entitlement is 21 days plus bank holidays.
We have a salary continuance scheme in case of long term sickness and government contributory pension scheme, once you have completed your probation period, you will be eligible to join the pension scheme.
