About the role…
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team at Brighton Racecourse.
Working 20 hours per week (with flexible working patterns available), the Accounts Assistant will work with the Financial Controller, assisting in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions.
- Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.
- Help oversee and manage individual accounts
- Create, send, and follow up on invoices
- Review and adhere to department budgets
- Update and monitor monthly accruals and prepayments
- Monthly bank reconciliation
- Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients
- Assist the financial controller in creating financial reports on a regular basis
- Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions.
About you…
- The candidate must be motivated, ambitious and enthusiastic when working within a small team.
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable would be advantageous.
- AAT qualified is desirable but not essential.
