Now, let's tell you a bit about our client! They’re a waste and recycling managed service provider based in the Leicester. Their expertise lies in providing specialised support to businesses, from ensuring effective collection to educating and enforcing eco-friendly recycling methods.
They’re expanding and evolving, and need a highly motivated Accounts Assistant to join their team and play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial operations. As the Accounts Assistant, you'll be supporting the Financial Controller and assisting with various accounting functions.
So, what will you be doing exactly? Here's a rundown of the important tasks you'll be handling:
Managing cashflow: You'll be responsible for keeping an eye on our cash inflows and outflows to ensure smooth financial operations.
Recording bank payments: Using our trusty Sage software, you'll accurately record and reconcile bank transactions.
Reconciling accounts: You'll be the go-to person for ensuring that our bank accounts and control accounts are in perfect harmony.
Assisting the Purchase Ledger Clerk: Supporting the purchase ledger process, which includes handling purchase invoices and managing supplier accounts.
Allocating creditors: You'll make sure that payments are properly allocated to our suppliers and maintain meticulous records.
Processing payment runs: Get ready to prepare and execute payment runs while liaising with our valued suppliers.
Handling sales invoices: You'll be responsible for raising sales invoices and addressing any queries that may arise.
Now let's talk about the skills and experience we're looking for:
Previous experience in a similar role would be a big plus. It's important that you're familiar with tasks like bank reconciliations, purchase invoice processing, and raising sales invoices.
Knowledge of Excel and Sage software would be highly desirable. These tools will be your trusty companions in handling our financial data.
