Accounting Technician

Become a core member of the finance & operations team in a high-growth technology company based in Saint John, N.B. Lead the company's bookkeeping, execute HR activities, and maintain systems and processes to support growth.

Full Cycle Bookkeeping: Ensure the company stays ahead of its cash flow.

• Be (or become) proficient with Quickbooks Online;
• Produce invoices, record financial transactions, post debits and credits, complete monthly bank reconciliations;
• Support managing accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Human Resources Support: Support the company's employees, remove barriers, and allow them to focus on creating value for our clients.

• Support the full-cycle recruitment & onboarding process;
• Support the administration of various internal programs;
• Support employees with administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is not a requirement, but would be considered an asset;
• Self-starter who can work both independently, and within a highly collaborative team;
• Interest working in a high-growth technology start-up environment;
• Strong finance acumen, including a solid understanding of the financial and accounting standards applicable to small businesses;
• Attention to detail and client confidentiality.
