CACI is looking for talented people for the Accounting Technician position with an accounting background to help ensure efficient and timely operations within the department. What You’ll Get to Do:
The Accounting Technician position works onsite with our client to assist them with routine Accounting functions including:
- Invoice review and processing
- Ensuring invoices are in compliance with the requirements of their respective contract
- Executing actions within DOJ’s Unified Financial Management System (UFMS)
- Researching items and responding to DOJ and vendor questions regarding invoice status
- Generating reports
- Conducting quarterly and year end close out activities
- Preparing data for quarterly internal audits
- Responding to requests related ad hoc audits and reviews
- Supporting other ad hoc tasks as they arise
More About the Role:
- Additional duties may include reviewing and analyzing financial data, documents and manual or automated accounting systems in support of litigation.
- May work under the supervision of an auditor or financial analyst.
- Duties may require periods of travel.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Two-year degree in accounting or four-year degree in a related field (finance, business, banking, or economics) with 30 credit hours in accounting.
- With the COR’s approval, relevant financial and accounting experience performing technical level duties in accounting, banking, or finance for corporations or non-profit organizations may be substituted for the education and credit requirements.
- Experience in banks and banking.
- Knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems used by banking, financial and other institutions.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Customer-focused, congenial, professional attitude for working on site with government clients
- Experience with UFMS
- Strong skills with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, v-lookup, and macros
