POSITION PURPOSE.
Manage Accounting Department Financial Information and Personnel.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise Accounting Department staff including Accounts Payable
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related schedules.
- Analyze and review monthly trial balance after all processes have been run. Follow up with staff on questions and
justification for variances
- Approve all Purchase Orders in SAP
- Supervise month-end closing process, journal entry preparation and related support documentation
- Oversee the annual financial and JSOX audits, and other internal audits as required.
- Review analysis of scrap, direct labor and overhead variances to forecasts
- Supervise, review and approve account analysis report preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
- Review and analyze monthly and annual standard manufacturing rates.
- Examine plant production costs. Understand, explain, and reconcile inventory variances
- Participate in weekly Manager Meeting providing Accounting Report.
- Conduct monthly cost meeting, communicating monthly results and identify resources and solutions to problem
areas.
- Assist with annual budget preparation
- Assist related projects as required
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- 5 years equivalent working experience in Manufacturing Cost Accounting
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS and cost accounting standards and JSOX requirements
- Previous SAP experience (Preferred but not required)
- Intricate understanding of sophisticated ERP systems with related modules
- Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data
- Ability to comfortably interact with Senior management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to supervise staff and handle and resolve conflicts.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment
- Detailed oriented and able to multi-task

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA -
AA DEGREE
BACHELORS DEGREE – Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
MASTERS DEGREE – FIELD OF STUDY:
OTHER EXPLAIN: CPA Preferred
Some travel in Continental United States may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $51,943.93 - $90,000.00 per year
